Charles Keith "Bunyon" O'Bannon, 67, of Reisterstown died Monday, October 03, 2011 at his home.
Born August 27, 1944 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late James Thomas O'Bannon, Sr., and Anna Virginia Grimes O'Bannon. He was the husband of Kathleen Ann Dickmyer O'Bannon, his wife of 29 years.
He was a member of Lazarus United Church of Christ. He retired in 1985 as a systems technician from C&P and AT&T and was a 1962 graduate of Franklin High School.
In his spare time he was a member of the Westminster Elks, Telephone Pioneers, and the NRA.
Years ago, he enjoyed building and driving late model stock cars. He enjoyed hunting, watching NASCAR, and he played baseball.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter Erica Ann O'Bannon of Reisterstown; and his numerous cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother James Thomas O'Bannon, Jr.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday with his pastor the Rev. Sam Chamelin officiating.
Interment will be in Long Green Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lazarus UCC, 5101 South Church Street, Lineboro, MD 21102 or to Gilchrist Hospice Care, Inc., 11311 McCormick Rd, Ste 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
