Kendell Lee Clagg Sr., 55, of Manchester died unexpectedly Friday, May 2, 2008, in New York.

Born June 26, 1952, in West Virginia, he was the son of Cecil Vernon and Della Dalton Clagg of Owings Mills. He was the husband of Kathleen Walsh Clagg.

He was a truck driver for Bavarian Motor Transport. He had previously worked at Mountainside Transport and Penske Logistics.


He was a member of Teamsters Local 355. He was also a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Manchester and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are his children Kendell Lee Clagg Jr. and Grace Elizabeth Fogle, both of Hampstead, Amy Marie McVicker of Hanover, Pa., Bridget Ann Cutair of Westminster and Patrick R. Walsh-Higgs of Glenrock, Pa.; grandchildren Emily, Kaitlyn, Eric, Joshua, Koby, Faith, Maryellen, Hope, Erin, Veronica and Charles; sisters Theresa Henson of Glen Burnie, Patricia Rodgers of Shippensburg, Pa., Peggy Shipley of Bridgeville, Del., and Joyce Collins of Owings Mills; and a brother, Jackie Clagg of Arbutus.

A requiem Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
