Kenneth B. Hare passed into his eternal rest on Thursday May 12 after a brief stay at Dove House in Westminster. Born Feb 25, 1933 in Hanover, PA, he was the son of LeRoy Milton and Ruth Louise Martin Hare of Parkton, MD. He was the husband of Jean Hersh Hare for nearly 65 years. A lifelong farmer, he spent 45 years working with his friend and business partner David Sparks in Upperco, MD. He was a founding member of Grace Bible Church in Manchester, MD, where he continued to serve and worship. He was also active in the early years of Hampstead Youth for Christ.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children The Rev. Todd Hare and his wife Nancy of Parkton, MD and Terri Hare of East Falmouth, MA. He had five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters Gloria J. Baer and Shirley L. Masemore.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr, Manchester, MD from 4-7 PM and on Monday, May 16 at Grace Bible Church, 3250 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 AM.
Interment will follow in Greenmount Church Cemetery.
