Kenneth Allen Spires

Kenneth "Kenro" Allen Spires, 68, of Upperco, MD, passed away on November 18, 2018, in Finksburg, MD. Born on December 13, 1949, in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Finley Edward and Helen May Gilbert Spires.

Kenneth was a self-employed contractor and master carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to music, and his biggest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving him are children: Jason Spires and wife Anna of Jarrettsville, MD, and Christie Zawisza and husband Mike of Fisherville, KY, grandchildren: Tyler, Caden, Lilija, Tegan, Sam, Noah, Alli, and Jane, devoted partner: Shari Carver, siblings: David Spires and wife Nadine of Granville, OH, and Steven Spires and wife Donna of Thomasville, PA, sister-in-law: Vera Westbrook of New Albany, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son: Shawn A. Spires, and a brother: Ronald Westbrook.

The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 23, from 10-11 am at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will begin at 11 am. Interment to follow in New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
