Larry Howard Burgoon

Larry Howard Burgoon, 78, of Lineboro, MD, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.  Born on April 24, 1947, in Hanover, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Edgar Burgoon, Jr. and Ada Eleanor Simonson Burgoon.  He was the beloved husband of 52 years to Joy Ann Simpers Burgoon.

Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1965-1968.  Years ago, he worked as a construction inspector for Baltimore County. He was a member of Lazarus UCC in Lineboro.  He loved anything to do with his self-restored Model T. He was previously an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener.  Spending time with his grandchildren was his favorite thing to do, he loved taking them fishing and for rides on the golf cart.

Surviving him in addition to his wife are daughters: Lauretta Burgoon of Ocean City, MD, and Julie Dallas and husband Chris of Melrose, MD, grandchildren: Matthew, Brittany, Tyler, Calvin, Clayton, great-grandchildren: Drake and Clayton. He is also survived by his siblings: Flora Kyle of Ohio, Thomas Burgoon III of Manchester, MD, and Mary Young of Pennsylvania.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
