Larry Eugene Daugherty, Sr.

Larry Eugene Daugherty, Sr., 89, of Manchester, MD, formerly of Cocoa, FL, and Silver Run, MD, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD. Born on June 4, 1937, in New Freedom, PA, he was the son of the late Carroll Lester and Grace Daugherty. He was the beloved husband of the late Beulah Virginia Daugherty, who passed away in 2018.

Larry was an electrician and he was a member of the IBEW Local 24 electrical union. He enjoyed playing cards, watching western movies and shows, and playing scratch off tickets.

Surviving him are children: Nancy Lee Eure of Easton, MD, David Abbott and wife Diana of Manchester, MD, Larry Daugherty, Jr. and wife Veronica of Cocoa, FL, 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and sister: Nancy Herman of Manchester, MD.

Larry was predeceased by his son: Paul Abbott, sister: Anna Leese, son-in-law: Stanley Eure, and brother-in-law: Milton Herman.

The family will receive visitors on Saturday, September 12, 10 am – 11:30 am, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will begin at 11:30 am, officiated by Rev. Rodney Gross.

Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
