Laura Mae Cross, 80, of Hanover, PA, formerly of Randallstown, died Thursday, May 8, 2008 at her residence.

She was born December 20, 1927 in Baltimore and was the daughter of the late Eugene Marriott and Addie Ramsay Marriott.

She was the wife of James Leroy Cross, her husband of 60 years.

She was employed by the Baltimore County Board of Education for 25years as a secretary. She was a former member of Halethorpe Community Church in Halethorpe and was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Westminster.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her sons and daughters in law James L., Jr., and Linda L. Cross of Utah, Charles E. and Karen S. Cross of Baltimore, Donald E. Cross of Linthicum; her daughter and son in law L. Susan and Bruce E. Schwarz of Hanover, PA; her grandchildren Kelli Szugye, Jennifer Miller, Lindsi Ika, Jimmy Cross, Kyle Cross, Jeffrey Cross, Julia Cross, Andrew Cross, Matthew Schwarz, Sarah Schwarz, Alston Schwarz, and Margaret Abbott; and her 10 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Milton Marriott, Charles Marriott, and Douglas Marriott.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.

Interment will be in Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery in Owings Mills.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
