Leila Nott Mills

Leila Marie Nott Mills, 87 years old of Manchester died Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the North Pines Assisted Living in Manchester. Born January 28, 1921 in Alesia, MD.,she was the daughter of the late Harvey H. Nott, Sr. and Dora B. Hudson Nott. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Mills who died April 9, 2001.

She retired from Black & Decker after 27 years. She had previously worked in the sewing factory's in Manchester. She was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ, Manchester, The Willing Workers of the Church and Manchester Senior Citizens.

Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law Donna and Barry Powell of Palmyra, PA. and Darlene and Douglas Harper of Rockville, MD. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Sister of Harvey H. Nott, Jr. & Donald L. Nott both of Manchester, and John E. Nott of Claxton, GA. She was pre deceased by her sisters: Hilda Weaver, Anna Armacost and Bernice Garrett and a brother William L. Nott.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 18, at 11:00 AM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Dr. Manchester. Rev. Laura R. Cross officiating. Interment in New Lutheran Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
