Leonard Thomas "Tom" Rill, Jr., 77, of Finksburg died Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Carroll Hospital Center, Westminster. He was born in Baltimore on July 29, 1930 and was the son of the late Leonard Thomas Rill, Sr. and Grace McCarthy Rill Price. He was the husband of June R. Heim Rill, his wife of 53 years.
Mr. Rill was a retired Linesman for the Baltimore, Gas, and Electric Company. He was a veteran of the Unite States Marines Corp. He was a member American Legion Post 116 in Reisterstown and was an honorary member of VFW Post 521, Lt. Peter G. Zouck Post in Owings Mills. He was an amateur radio operator, KJ6013 and CB Operator. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife is daughters and sons in law Deborah Ann and Gus Cornias of Catonsville, Robin Denise and Craig Singhaus of Manchester, Lisa G. and Ernie Long of Reisterstown, grandchildren Christopher Thomas Shutt-Singhaus and his fiancée of Elizabeth Newmeister both of Owings Mills, Cory B. Long and Megan Grace Long both of Reisterstown, and Zachary C. Cornias of Catonsville.
A memorial service will held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills with Deacon Joe Cinquino of St. John Catholic Church officiating.
Interment will be private at a later date.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.
