Leroy Franklin Shiflett, 74, of Gambrills died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.
Born December 21, 1938, he was the son of the Raymond Shiflett and Elizabeth Bailey Shiflett. He was the husband of Deanna Sue Sayko Shiflett.
He was an electronic Engineer for NASA. He enjoyed sailing, his ultralight, and tinkering with anything that needed fixing. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an intelligent man who enjoyed technology and he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters Letitia, Cynthia, and Alisa; his 7 grandchildren, his 4 great grandchildren; and his siblings Brenda Petefish of Luray, VA, Doris Riley of Charlestown, WV,
and Karen Babaie of Berryville, VA.
He was predeceased by his siblings Wayne and Shelvy.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013, Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester.
