Leroy Whitney

Leroy Whitney, 76 of Manchester, MD. passed peacefully Saturday Sept. 30, 2017 at the North Pines Assisted Living in Manchester, MD. Born Feb. 6, 1941 in Anne Arundel, County, MD. He was the son of the late Alvin Leroy and Rose Lee Sullivan Whitney. He was the husband of the late Beverly Delores Rhoten Whitney who died in 2005.

Leroy worked in construction and had retired from Shelter Systems LTD. He was a North Carroll Graduate and a veteran of the Army National Guard. He was also a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Hampstead, MD. Leroy enjoyed classic cars, country music and his pets.

Surviving are his children; Timothy Whitney of Mountville, PA. and Wendy Whitney of Manchester, MD. and siblings; Carolyn Whitney and Richard Whitney both of Manchester, MD.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Carroll County, 2517 Littlestown Pike, Westminster, MD. 21158.
