Leslie Gwendolyn Gable, 89, of Upperco passed away, Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Gilchrist Hospice in Columbia. Born January 7, 1926 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of late Roy I. Boyles and Sarah F. Boyles, (nee Heberling). She was the wife of Robert R. Gable, Sr., her husband of 55 years, who passed away December 13, 2002.
She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manchester. Years ago, she had worked for Baltimore County as a school bus driver.
Surviving are her children Beverly Horn, Elizabeth Kuhl, and Robert Gable, Jr.; her siblings Virginia Barnes and Peggy Craig; her 8 grandchildren; and her numerous great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Dale Boyles, John Boyles, and Evelyn Luke.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 3 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester. Prior to the 10 a.m. service the family will receive friends from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 4 at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church Street, Manchester. The Rev. Chris Litton will be officiating. Interment will be in the Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium.
