Lester “Bud” L. Rhoten, Jr.

Lester "Bud" L. Rhoten, Jr., 94, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester, MD. Born on April 22, 1927, in Hampstead, MD, he was the son of the late Lester L. Rhoten, Sr. and Gladys Ruth Davidson Rhoten. He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy Lee Haines Rhoten, who passed away in 2014.

Years ago, Bud worked as a delivery driver for Greenmount Fuel Co. He was a longtime member of the Westminster Moose 1381 and a lifetime member of the Manchester Fire Department.

Surviving him are children: Theresa Yeager (Jay) of Hanover, PA, Sharon Schaeffer (John) of Manchester, MD, Bonnie Haberstick (Randy) of California, and Lester "Buddy" Rhoten, III (Connie) of Manchester, MD, stepchildren: Leonard Little, Jr. of Florida, Pam Velnoskey (Doug) of Westminster, MD, and Denise Little of Hampstead, MD, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and brothers: Robert and Larry Rhoten, both of Hanover, PA.

He was predeceased by siblings: Frances Long, Charles Rhoten, and Gene Rhoten.

Funeral services and interment are private.
