Lindsay Martin Drechsler Sr., 74, of Reisterstown, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, at home.
Born Oct. 16, 1937, in Maryland, he was the son of the late George A. Drechsler and Myrle Fair Drechsler. He was the husband of Barbara Ann Cook Drechsler, his wife of 48 years.
He was the owner and operator of L.M. Drechsler Lawn service since 1963 and was a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed bluegrass music and played the guitar. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing, NASCAR, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are son and daughter-in-law Lindsay Jr. and Marci Drechsler, of Reisterstown; daughter and son-in-law Judith and Brian King, of Reisterstown; grandchildren Thomas Jr., Andrew and Melinda Lewis, and Chelsy Janney; siblings Louise Groomes, of Littlestown, Pa., Betty Cummings and Gilbert Drechsler, both of Westminster, James Drechsler, of Manchester, and Herman Drechsler, of Taneytown.
He was predeceased by siblings George "Bud" Drechsler Jr. and Leslie Drechsler.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
