Lloyd "Mike" William Woolford, Jr., 83, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born on August 17, 1942, in Owings Mills, MD, he was the son of the late Lloyd William Woolford, Sr., and Thelma Katherine Beck Woolford. He was the beloved husband of Barbara Ann Rutherford Woolford.
After graduating from Franklin High School, Lloyd served in the US Army Reserves. He was a founder of W&W Racing Tires and W&W Tire and Auto and was responsible for the installation of the large American flag which greets travelers along Route 140 in Finksburg.
Mike enjoyed many outdoor activities including auto racing, fishing and trapshooting. He was a member of the Amateur Trapshooting Association and the Westminster Bucs Club. He also loved animals, especially dogs and his numerous rescued cats.
Surviving him in addition to his wife is his son: Michael Woolford, son and daughter-in-law: Duane and Kristy Woolford, and his three grandchildren: Fisher, Finn, and Annette.
Mike was predeceased by his siblings: Wayne Woolford and Sharon Setzer.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 3, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD.
Interment is private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mike's name may be offered to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
