M. Luella Baublits age 94 of Hampstead, Md. formally of Beckleysville, MD. died Thursday Nov. 4, 2010 at the Bond's Forest Assisted Living in Finksburg, MD.
Born Dec. 18, 1915 in Wytheville, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Tandy and Mamie Horne Dix. She was the wife of the late William Melvin Baublits.
Years ago she was a sewing factory seamstress. She was a member of St. Abraham's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, crocheting, traveling and gardening.
She is survived by her children: Margaret( Peggy) Baublits of Hampstead, MD., Marie Burk of Westminster, MD., Phyllis Seipp of Hampstead, MD. and William Baublits of New Windsor, MD. sister: Elsie Brubaker of Littlestown, PA. brothers: Richard Dix of Arkansas and Garnet Dix of Florida. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grand daughter.
She was predeceased by a daughter: Doris Ann Baublits and siblings: Mary Taylor, Hazel Walker, Roberta Barnhill and Ed Dix.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Sunday Nov. 7,2010 at 1:00 pm. with the Rev. Richard Spies officiating.
Interment will be in St. Abraham's Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
