Mabel Elizabeth Cook age 88 of Hampstead, Md. died Monday July 23, 2012 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD.
Born April 1, 1924 in Montgomery County, MD. she was the daughter of the late Harry T. and Mary Katherine Bussard. She was the wife of the late Meredith "Bud" Dorsey Cook who died in 2008.
She was a housewife. She did volunteer work for NESAP. She was a member of the Carroll County Senior Citizens where she enjoyed ceramics classes. She enjoyed spending time with her family and pets Sassy and Abby.
She is survived her children: Katherine Hungerford and husband Eddie of Keedysville. Md, Diane Dziemburski and husband Jack of Dundalk, MD, Joyce McCarty and husband Dennis of Dundalk, MD, Larry Cook and wife Linda of Ocean City, MD, David Cook and wife Pam of Monrovia, MD, and Thomas Cook and companion Jane Wildasin of Hampstead, MD. She is survived by siblings: Edith Cross and James Bussard both of Montgomery County, MD. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by siblings: Mary Toone, Harry, Anna and Pat Bussard, Ruth Zebuhr, and Zayzella Phillips.
Funeral services will be held at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. 21102 on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 11:00 am.
Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 and 7-9 pm. at the funeral chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Farm, 18400 Muncaster Road, P.O. Box 5810 Derwood, MD 20855.
