Mabel Christina Garey

Mabel Christina Garey, 82, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on July 12, 1943, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late William Elsworth Lannon and Cecelia Blanche Kammer Lannon. She was the beloved wife of Peter Arthur Garey.

Mabel was a loyal member of Millers United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed volunteering her time and being involved with the ladies aid. She was also a longtime volunteer at GBMC Nearly New Sale. Mabel enjoyed spending time with her family, crafting, and shopping.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Missy Emig and husband Ralph of Manchester, MD, Guy Garey and wife Wendy of Manchester, MD, grandchildren: Morgan Querry and husband Neil, Olivia Garey, Austin Garey, Audrey Emig, and great-grandchildren: Dustin and Hudson. Mabel is also survived by siblings: Rose Stickline of Essex, MD, and William Lannon of Delaware.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 29, from 5-8 pm, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 30, at 10 am, with Pastor Rodney Gross officiating.

Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens, Timonium, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be offered to Millers United Methodist Church, 3435 Warehime Road, Millers, MD 21102.
