Madeline Estella Baker, 94, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Stella Maris, Timonium, MD. Born on July 30, 1924 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Edison and Ruth Hobbs (nee Crittle). She was the beloved wife of the late Douglas Millard Baker, who died in 1987.
Madeline was an active member of the community. Each year, she conducted a toy drive for children in need, collecting and refurbishing toys for donation. She was the director of the Pinto Majorettes for many years. Madeline was an avid seamstress and also enjoyed crocheting. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and the love that she had for her family and community.
Surviving her are children: Sandra Elizabeth Russell and husband Timothy, Deborah M. Erickson and husband Terry, grandchildren: T.R. Erickson, Andrew Erickson, Annette Schmidt and husband Tom, and Pam Ledzinski and husband Ed, great grandchildren: Tim Schmidt and wife Katie, Amanda Bobes and husband Nick, Billy Church and wife Brittany, Brittni Hooper and husband Aaron, great-great grandchildren: Olive and Hazel Schmidt, and Aubrie and Harper Bobes, and a sister: Gladys Johnson.
