Madelynne Joyce Kinsley, 91, of Pikesville, died surrounded by family on Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Seasons Hospice in Randallstown.

She was born to the late Carl and Lora (Cotter) Wyant, May 24, 1923, in Granite City, Illinois, the youngest of four children. The family moved from Illinois to Dundalk, Maryland, where Madelynne graduated from Sparrows Point High School. She graduated from the Bard Avon Secretary School.

Madelynne married the late William E. Kinsley of Baltimore, and they lived together in the Sudbrook Park community of Pikesville, Maryland. She was a member of the Sudbrook Park Club and the Order of the Eastern Star. The 1992 movie, "That Night," was filmed at her Sudbrook Park home.

Madelynne worked as a secretary for the U.S. Army Counter Intelligence in Baltimore. An active member of the former St. Paul Lutheran Church in Randallstown, MD, she served there as a kindergarten and Sunday school teacher for many years. She continued her career as an administrative secretary for the Maryland State Highway Administration until her retirement in 1987.

Madelynne enjoyed gardening, dancing, raising Himalayan cats, and, most importantly, spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved to travel, and took numerous cruise trips with family members in her lifetime.

Madelynne was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Randall and Emerson Wyant.

She is survived by four children: Karen L. Robertson and her husband, Ken, of Kingsville; William E. Kinsley, Jr., of Bel Air; Kimberley A. Lovett and her husband, Robert , of Bel Air; and Donna M. Arnold, and her husband, David, of Oakland. She has nine grandchildren: Kenneth C. Robertson, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie; Kristopher Robertson, and his wife, Kelly; Corinne, Gabrielle and Joseph Lovett; Carrie Lovett Short, Kristie Lambert and her husband, Jason; Jennifer Virts and her husband, Mikey; and Tiffany Schroeder and her husband, Craig; and ten great-grandchildren: Devin, Konnor and Kole Robertson; Dylan and Emma Short; Samantha and Tyler Lambert; Maddy and Kinsley Virts; and Jamie Schroeder. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff who cared for Madelynne at The Augsburg Lutheran Home and at Seasons Hospice.
