Maggie Edith Warner, 87, of Lineboro, MD passed away peacefully, Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. Born August 26, 1928 in Lineboro, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Gorman and Nora Nye Wentz. She was the wife of George Shaffer Warner, who passed away in 1995.
She was a graduate of Manchester High School and Western Maryland Collage, and taught 2nd grade at Manchester Elementary School for 27 years. She was a member of the Snydersburg Homemakers and Lazarus Church in Lineboro.
Surviving her are her children, David Warner of Manchester and Carol Johnson of Parkton and grandchildren, Leslie, Maxim, Natalie and Nathan.
The family will receive friends 6-8pm. Sunday, December 27, 2015 and Monday from 9-10am. at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 10am. Monday, December 28, 2015 with the Rev. Sam Chamelin officiating. Interment will follow in Lineboro Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made in Mrs. Warner's name to the Lazarus U.C.C. Building Fund, 5101 South Church Street, Lineboro, MD 21102 or to Homewood at Plum Creek, 425 Westminster Ave., Hanover, PA. 17331.
