Marco O. Warner, 95, of Hampstead, MD, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD. Born on May 31, 1927, in Richlands, VA, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Antonietta Morano Warner. He was the beloved husband of the late Beatrice Maier Warner, who passed away in 2009.
Marco worked as a sporting goods salesman. He was a proud veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Navy as a ship's gunner. Marco was a life member of American Legion Post 403 in Glen Rock, PA as well as member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 14 in Hanover, PA. He was a trombone player in the State Band in Baltimore, the Friday Niters, and multiple jazz bands.
Surviving him is a son: Mark A. Warner and wife Mary of Essex, MD, daughter-in-law: Kathleen M. Warner of Glen Rock, PA, grandchildren: Leslie A. Humphrey, Sara E. Warner, Bryan L. Warner and wife Blair, and Joseph Warner, and great-grandchildren: Kollin A. Humphrey, Paige A. Ross, and Elliott L. Warner, and one great-grandchild on the way.
Marco was predeceased by a son: Kenneth P. Warner, and siblings: Patsy Warner Jr., Father J. Anthony Warner, Joseph Warner, Frank Warner, and Filomena Warner.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, July 9, from 11 am until 12 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm.
Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD.
