Margaret Elizabeth Battle

Margaret "Maggie" Elizabeth Battle, 71, of Gwynn Oak, MD, passed away on February 24, 2019. Born on November 30, 1947 in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Francis Cardwell and Dorothy Mitchell-Cardwell.

Maggie worked at Pose Bakery as a baker, Lion Brothers as a machine operator, and Walmart as a phone operator. She enjoyed playing slots, watching Law and Order and Ravens Football games, and loved spending time with family.

Surviving her is her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas M. Battle, her children: Rachel E. Turner and husband Wilson Turner, Jr., and Aaron M. Battle and wife Amber, grandchildren: Shalai and Aaron, Jr., great grandchildren: Aubrey and Alexander, sibling: Nancy Allen, and granddog: Ruffin.

She was predeceased by a son: Thomas Jason Battle, and siblings: Ronald Cardwell, Francis Cardwell, Ann Delozier, Virginia Battle, Marion Keeney, and Mary Jane Leisenring.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, March 4, from 6-9 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117 and Tuesday, March 5, from 10:30 -11 am with a funeral service to follow.

Interment is private.
