Margaret Lois Getzler

Margaret Lois Getzler, 91, of Sykesville, MD, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD. Born on February 7, 1935, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late John Burget and Justine Reed Burget.

Margaret worked for C&P Telephone Company as an operator early in life, she also worked at George’s Super Thrift as a cook in the luncheonette and in retail. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, doing ceramics, and playing Bingo. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she was truly loved by the community.

Surviving her are children: Deborah Stottlemyer and husband Charles Holtschnider of Taneytown, MD, Donna Mignon and husband Anthony of Sykesville, MD, son-in-law: Mark Tedesco of Florida, grandchildren: Rebecca, Kelli, Alyssa, Megan, and great-grandchildren: Bailee and Aubree.

Margaret was predeceased by her daughter: Denise Tedesco.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 4, from 10-11 am, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am.

Interment is private.
