Margaret Virginia Mccullough

Margaret V. McCullough, 88, of Manchester passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Long View Nursing Home, Manchester. Born April 9, 1928 in Manchester, she was the daughter of the late Clayton M. Black and Bertha Mae Black, nee Miller. She was the wife of Carl M. McCullough, her husband of 68 years. She was a lifelong active member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she worked on the altar guild, taught Sunday school and Catechize classes, and was a member of the Women of Evangelical Lutheran Church. She retired in 1991 from Black & Decker after 25 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, needle work, traveling, acting in community plays with Manchester Volunteer Fire Department, and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Pat and John Dixon of Hampstead, Karen and D. Farley of Westminster, and Sandra Shaw of Hanover, PA; her 7 grandchildren; her 6 great-grandchildren; and is predeceased by her siblings Marie Gieman, Miriam Thompson, Hilda Hesson, Ruby Davis, Maurice, Cletus, and Richie Black. The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2016 at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester (21102) and 10 a.m. until time of funeral service, 11 a.m., Monday at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church Street, Manchester with her pastor, the Rev.
