Margaret Emma Merkel

Margaret Emma Merkel, 81, of Westminster, MD, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021, at her home.  Born on July 11, 1939, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late George Paul and Emma Mildred Wright Fineagan.  She was the beloved wife of Paul Vernon Merkel.

Years ago, Margaret worked for the Social Security Administration as an accounting controller.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Verna-Leigh Kraus and husband Michael, Paul E. Merkel II and wife Victoria, and George Carroll Merkel and wife Laura, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and interment are private.
