Margaret Elizabeth Schlichter, 85, of Manchester died Friday March 25, 2011 at Long View Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born December 22, 1925 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Maude Steckbeck. She was the wife of the late Rev. Harvey G. Schlichter, her husband of 45
years, who died in 1994.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
Years ago she was an Activities Director for a nursing home in Pikesville.
In her spare time she was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bird watching.
Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law David J. and Peggy Schlichter of Spring Grove, PA, Mark A. and Judi Schlichter of Manchester, and Stephen M. and Karen L. Schlichter of Phoenixville, PA; her grandchildren Sarah, Luke, Andy, and Kelsey Schlichter and Matt and Ben Poff, and Kristin Schwoebel; great grandmother of 5.
A private cremation was held at All Faiths Crematory and Chapel in Manchester and a memorial gathering will be 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity United Church of Christ, 3229 York Street, Manchester.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 3229 York Street, Manchester, MD 21102.
