Marguerite Joan Hammond, 87 years old of Hampstead, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Carroll Hospital Center.
Born December 11, 1922 in Long Ashton, England she was the daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Ball.
She was the wife of the late Oliver Joseph Hammond who died in 1970.
She was a war bride who served in WWII with the ATS Group of the British Army as a switchboard operator. Upon coming to the states with her husband, she raised a family and worked for the Maryland Cup Company as a cup inspector, retiring after 30 plus years. She very much enjoyed spending time with her family after retirement.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: David and Elizabeth Hammond of Manchester, John and Jeanne Hammond of Baldwin, Raymond and Barbara Hammond of Owings Mills, Jeanette Busick of Westminster, Daniel Hammond of Hampstead and Deanna and William Schuyler of Hampstead, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 brother, Peter Ball of England.
She was predeceased by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
