Maria Cucci in Balsamo, 78, of Italy died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, at her daughter's home in Manchester.
Born in Italy, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Pietra Mannino Cucci. She was the wife of the late Giovanni Balsamo.
She was a housewife. She enjoyed gardening and animals.
Surviving are children Carmelo and Angela Balsamo, both of Italy, Salvatore Balsamo of New York and Piera Marciano of Manchester; a sister, Concetta Dilisi of Italy; a brother, Vincenzo Cucci of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers Angelo and Salvatore.
A requiem Mass will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with the Rev. Bernardo Pistone as celebrant. Entombment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hanover, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester.
