Maria C. "Marie" Lawson

Maria C. "Marie" Lawson, 93 of Bonita Springs, Florida, left this world on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 to join her beloved husband of 60 years, Jack Lawson. She was born December 20, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland, the only daughter of the late Sante and Rosa (nee Marinucci) DeRisio who emigrated to America in the late 1920's from Vasto, Italy.

Upon Jack's retirement in 1991, they moved from Reisterstown, MD to Bonita Springs. She was a member of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs. Her warm personality and friendly smile will be remembered by those who knew her.

Marie is survived by her loving children of whom she was very proud; son, John Anthony (Colleen) Lawson of Lott, TX; daughter, Rosemarie (Joseph) Bernarding of Eldersburg, MD; and three precious grandchildren, Jacob Paul Lawson, Marisa Patricia Bernarding and Michela Rosa Bernarding. Her husband, Jack passed away on May 10, 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Bonita Springs, FL.

A private graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 2, at New Cathedral Cemetery, Baltimore, MD.
