Marian Elaine Thomas, 69, of Manchester died Monday, May 2, 2011 at Northwest Hospital Center in Randallstown.
Born May 24, 1941 in Manchester, she was the daughter of Iva Brilhart Yingling of Hanover, PA and the late Earl Yingling. She was the wife of Wayne Kenny Thomas, her husband of 49 years.
She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of LCW, co-chair of Vacation Bible School, and sang in the choir for 30 years. She was the co owner with her husband of the Thomas Christmas Tree Farm. She was the volunteer administrator for the Maryland Christmas Tree Association.
She enjoyed traveling occasionally with her husband, music, crafts, decorating for the holidays, and getting together with family.
Surviving in addition to husband and mother are her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Danny and Nancy Thomas.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester and from 10 a.m. Thursday until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3184 Church Street, Manchester with her pastors the Revs. Matthew S. and Norma L. Schenning officiating.
Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery in Manchester.
