Marion Lee Zile

Marion Lee Zile, 89 of Sparks, MD. passed peacefully Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born Oct. 1, 1927 in Glyndon, MD. She was the wife of the late Sterling Pierce Zile, Sr.

She had recently retired from Millers Market in Manchester. Years ago, she worked at Rite Aid in Westminster, MD. When she wasn't working she always enjoyed being with her family.

She is survived by her children; Robin Johnson of Sparks, MD., and Sterling Zile, Jr. and wife Faith of Hanover, PA., siblings; Mary Merriken of Glyndon and Bertha Harris of Pasadena, MD. She was also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter; Nancy Mann.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday July 12, 2017 from 6-8pm. at the family owned ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD. with a memorial service to begin at 8 pm. Interment will be private.
