Martha Virginia Myers Fleming, age 62 of Hampstead, MD, died Friday July 17, 2015 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore.
Born August 29, 1952 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of Violet Virginia Smith Bowman of Westminster, MD and the late Lester Vernon Myers Sr. and step daughter of the late Harry L. Bowman She was the wife of 34 years to Russell W. Fleming.
She was a cashier for Giant Foods, Festival Foods and Belk (Leggett's), and a 1970 graduate of Westminster High School and Carroll Community College. She was a life member of the American Motorcycle Association, Concours Owner Group and Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was also a member of the North Carroll Senior Center where she did arthritis exercises. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and riding motorcycles with her husband on trips across the country.
Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are siblings, Lester Myers, Jr. of Manchester, Linda Fitzpatrick of Westminster, Elizabeth Morris of Libertytown, Patricia Creager of Westminster and James Myers of Westminster.
The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD on Tuesday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. with a funeral service at 8:00pm.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Stroke Association or to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
