Martha Ellen Freeland

Martha Ellen Freeland, 75, of Manchester, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Carroll Hospital Center, in Westminster, MD.  Born on September 13, 1948, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Arold Becker and Ellen Elizabeth Bachman Becker.  She was the beloved wife of 59 years to Paul Carroll Freeland.

Marty/Mom/Mrs. Marty/Maw Maw was a school bus driver for Carroll County Public Schools for 34 years.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, and in her flower gardens, as well as watching all the birds.

Surviving her in addition to her husband are children: Steven Paul Freeland and wife Candy, David Carroll Freeland and wife Geraldine, Rachel Ellen Malpica and husband Domingo, grandchildren: Zachary, Lia, Tyler, Jamie, Phil, Nick, Kyle, Seth, Jordan, Nicole, Carolyn, Krystel, Grace, Jun, Reina, Caleb, and numerous great-grandchildren. Marty is also survived by brother: Steven A. Becker, and many other loving family, friends, and her fur-babies: Muff and Puff.

A celebration of life will be held on September 14, 2024, from 3-5 pm. Please reach out to Steve, David, or Rachel by September 6, 2024, to RSVP in case you have not yet already done so.
