Mary Claggett, 83, of Red Lion, PA, passed away on September 16, 2025, at BridgingLife Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on May 10, 1942, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Notas and Katherine Rores Notas. She was the beloved wife of the late Clifford Claggett.
Mary graduated from Eastern High School and worked for her father's restaurant, Lake Falls Drive-In where she met the love of her life Clifford William Claggett, known as "Butch". Years ago, she had a cleaning business (Brite Daze) and a ceramic business (Cameo Ceramics). Mary was a retired assistant manager with AT&T. She also bought a restaurant with her sister (Tyson's) located in Dallastown. She enjoyed doing ceramics and yearly camping trips to Knoebles.
She was always trying to make others laugh, turned every statement into a song, loved her family- her boys, nieces, nephews, sisters, and grandchildren. She was loving, compassionate, fun and full of life.
Surviving her are sons: William Claggett of Hampstead, MD, Mark Claggett of Florida, grandchildren: Dylan Claggett, Jade Madairy and husband Matthew, Emily Wike and husband Samuel, Sr., Lourdes Claggett and great-grandchildren: Sam Wike, Jr., Emerson and Adalynn Madairy. She is also survived by sisters: Connie Bohager and Barbara Serpiello.
Mary was predeceased by her son: Thomas Claggett.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, September 22, at 10 am, in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville, MD, followed by a celebration of life at Calvary Bible Church, 2447 Hampstead Mexico Rd, Westminster, MD 21157
