Mary Elizabeth Miller, 89, of Millers died Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at Longview Nursing Home in Manchester.
Born on January 7, 1919, she was the daughter of the late George Michael Kaltrider and Carrie Barnhart Kaltrider. She was the wife of the late Maurice Ebaugh Miller, who died on September 8, 1958.
Mrs. Miller was an active member of Miller United Methodist Church in Millers and a member of the Millers United Methodist Church Ladies Aid. Throughout the years, she had raised many foster children and enjoyed working in her garden with her flowers.
She had been employed by Dutterers and Superthrift Grocery Stores.
Surviving her are her sons and daughters in law George and Mary Ellen Miller of Millers, Ralph and Sue Miller of Manchester, her daughter and son in law Linda and John Newman of Manchester; her 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter Carrie Edna Yingling Pinda, and her brothers Charles Kaltrider, Marion Kaltrider, and Harvey Kaltrider.
A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with Rev. Jeffrey Odom officiating. Interment will be in New Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
