Mary Elizabeth Garman Bean, 85 years old of Reisterstown, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Northwest Hospital Center.
Born December 3, 1927 in Reisterstown, she was the daughter of the late George S. Garman and Carrie M. Byerly Garman.
She was the wife of the late Raymond Thomas Bean who passed in 1989.
She was a graduate of Franklin High School and Towson State Teachers College. She retired after teaching at both Owings Mills and Reisterstown Elementary Schools. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Democratic Club, Kickers Club and the Owings Mills Walkers. She participated in water aerobics at Brick Bodies, enjoyed the beach at Ocean City, traveling and cruising.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, R.Thomas Bean, Jr. and his wife Lyndia of Reisterstown, Karen and Lee Erdman of York, PA., grandchildren, Elizabeth White, Sarah Hamill, Jordan Bean, great granddaughter Alice White and brother James D. Garman.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A. 11605 Reisterstown Rd. Owings Mills where services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM. Rev. Tim Feaser officiating.
Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery in Arcadia.
