Mary Elizabeth Hamilton

Mary Elizabeth Hamilton, 81, of Hampstead, MD, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her home. Born on May 2, 1941, in York County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Margaret Houck. She was married to her loving husband William A. Hamilton, Jr. for almost 60 years (November 23, 1962).

Mary loved reading, sewing, singing, and taking cruises. She was active in the church and community. Mary was a member and President of the Lioness Club of Hampstead and a member of the Hampstead School Reunion Committee.

Surviving her in addition to her husband is her daughter: Brenda Lynn Miller and husband Craig, grandchildren: Meagan Wilson and husband Brian, Marc Miller, and Erik Miller, great-grandchildren: Brenttyn Menikheim, Bria Garvin and husband Drew, Braedon Wilson, Brendan Wilson, Austin Gerling, and Juliet Miller, 4 great-great-grandchildren, siblings: Janet Houck Ransom and husband Tom, and Merle Houck and wife Bennye, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter: Pamela Dawn Houck (deceased 1961) and brother: Dale Houck.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, August 4, from 4-7 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, August 5, at 10 am.

Interment to follow in St. David's Cemetery, Hanover, PA.
