Mary "Janice" Jeffries

Mary “Janice” Jeffries, 90, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Aventura at Pembrooke in West Chester, PA. Born on January 1, 1936, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Albert R. McCubbin and Ida “Lucille” Lamdin McCubbin. She was the beloved wife of the late James Edgar Jeffries, who passed away in 1985.

Years ago, Janice worked as a receptionist for Harford Community College.

Surviving her is her son: Keith James Jeffries and wife Emiko Jeffries of Bel Air, MD, grandchildren: Indiana Keith Jeffries, Daniel Adam Diacont, Sr., and great-grandchildren: Daniel Adam Diacont, Jr. and Hayley Rainey Diacont.

Janice was predeceased by her daughter: Kimberly Hope Emerson (deceased 9/20/2023), and sister: Doris Zeller.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 18, at 10:45 am, at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD, where we will prepare for procession to Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, 11501 Garrison Forest Rd, Owings Mills, MD, for an 11:30 am interment service.
