Mary Jo Kyle

Mary Jo Kyle, 87, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at her residence.  Born on October 10, 1935, in Baltimore, MD, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Kyle and Elaine McQuillan Kyle.

Years ago, Mary Jo was a teacher for Baltimore City Public Schools.  After retiring at age 62, she became a caretaker for her mother who had Alzheimer's.  She was a former member of St. John's Catholic Church in Westminster.  She loved all animals, especially dogs and cats, and she would feed the strays in the area of her home.  She enjoyed collecting dolls, and spending time with her dog, Ben.

Surviving her are friends: Dr. Marian Siegel, Terri Staines, Liz Lengel, and Jack and Joyce Herbert.  She is also survived by cousins and extended family around the country.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 1, at 11 am, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 2800 Old Westminster Pike, Finksburg, MD 21048.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mary Jo's name may be offered to the Baltimore Humane Society, 1601 Nicodemus Rd, Reisterstown, MD 21136.
