Mary Eleanor MacDonald, 83 years old of Reisterstown, died Friday, September 4, 2009 at the Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born July 22, 1926 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late George F. and Margaret Lerian Kuhlemann.

She was the wife of the late Carter MacDonald who died in 2008.

She graduated from Western High School. She worked for several years at the Federal Reserve Bank in Baltimore. She married in 1946. She was a charter member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Baltimore and Christ The King Lutheran Church in Owings Mills where she taught Sunday School for 26 years and sang in the choir. She loved animals especially her "Pony" who lived in her back yard for thirty years. She was very active in her church and volunteered at many nursing homes before being stricken with Parkinson's Disease and a stroke. She will always be remembered as a kind, loving and caring person who always thought of others before herself.

Surviving are sons John MacDonald of Rock Springs, Wyoming, James MacDonald of Glyndon and Stephen MacDonald of Westminster, grandchildren Claire, Rukmini, Kenneth, Kelsey, Christopher, Carter and Dani MacDonald. She was predeceased by her son Robert MacDonald, grandson Justin MacDonald, brother George Kuhlemann and sister Ann Raynor.

A Memorial Service will be held at Christ The King Lutheran Church, 515 Academy Ave. Owings Mills, MD 21117 on Friday, September 11th at 12:00 Noon. A reception will follow. Interment is Private.
