Mary A. Schaffer, 96, of Manchester, died Sunday July 7, 2013 at her daughter's home in
Westminster.
Born February 14, 1917 in Jefferson, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry Rudisill and Jennie Wildasin Miller.
After retiring from Black and Decker, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, quilting, and making "shoofly" pies. She was a longtime and active member of the "Willing Workers" of the Trinity united Church of Christ.
Surviving are her children Evelyn Bull of Glen Burnie, Ray Schaffer of Dundalk, Mary Ann Spangler of Westminster, and Jean Siebertz of Laughlin, NV; her 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her siblings Annie Eppley, Pauline Miller, Andrew, Kenneth, Solomon, Woodrow, Leon, and Albert Miller; her grandchildren Ray Eugene Schaffer and Patricia Bull.
The family will receive friends 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in New Lutheran
Cemetery, Manchester.
