Mary Regina Smith, 88, of Sykesville died Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium.
Born June 22, 1919, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Peroutka Fraley.
She was a "Veri Typist" in the printing department for CSX Railroad. She enjoyed singing and sang in the Hecht-May Company Choir for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Mary Carole and Gordon Truitt of Sykesville; a sister, Louise Talbot of Virginia; grandchildren Jamie and Charles Rice and Brendan and Kevin Truitt; and a great-grandchild, Finnley Sorrell Rice.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 65 Sacred Heart Lane, Glyndon, with Monsignor Lloyd Aiken officiating. Interment will be in Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer Association, Greater Maryland, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093; or to Stella Maris Hospice, 2300 Dulaney Valley Road, Timonium, MD 21093.
