Taylor and Karen Fain Alexander. He was loved and adopted later in childhood by Leonard Grastorf. For over 20 years Pat and Debby Beavan were also a cherished influence in Matt's life.

He was the beloved husband of Neenah Grastorf for 20 years. Surviving him in addition to his wife are his beautiful daughters: Megan and Natalie Grastorf and three very special young women: Maya Saunders, Kiera Swigart, and Olivia Scholtes, His beloved siblings: Vena Burns (Darren), Ryan Grastorf (Katherine), Tyler Grastorf (Rachael), Rebecca Grastorf-Siennicki (Mike), Kelly Kromm (Kurt), Beth Schuette and Corey Schuette.  His mother Karen Alexander, maternal grandma Erla Fain, maternal grandfather Rubert Fain, cousins Irene Glasse and Gwen Grastorf.

Matt was a loving Uncle to Audrey, Kendall, Wendy, Abby, Charlie, Lucas, Kenzie, Andrew, Wesley, Emerson Precious, Emmanuel.

He was predeceased by his father Walter C. Taylor and paternal grandparents, James and Elizabeth Taylor, Maternal grandparents Rupert and Erla Fain, Adopted father Leonard Grastorf, and grandparents Mildred and Frederick Grastorf and Uncle John Grastorf and beloved mother-in-law Debby Beavan

Anyone who knew Matt knew his greatest passion was his family. Matt was a loving husband to Neenah, and father to his beautiful daughters Megan and Natalie. He was the consummate "Girls Dad" to Megan and Natalie. Whether it was coaching them or just spending good quality time with them while having fun, Matt's life was all about living, especially with his girls his extended family and many-many friends.

At a young age, Matt gained a passion for all things aviation. In Elementary school he won the science fair after building a barometer, and was gifted a trip in a small aircraft over his hometown. He had an expansive knowledge of aviation and enjoyed many hours on his personal flight simulation equipment.

In 11th grade he signed up to serve his country in the US Airforce where he studied avionic technology. His short time in the Airforce provided him a great foundation while expanding his love of aviation and fueled his can-do attitude where he found personal pride in carving out his own career path. He worked in the restaurant industry until making a career change to information technology, where he quickly excelled and moved into Management.

Matt's had great passion for the game of soccer. Matt was an avid soccer coach and player for many years. He very recently was player in a local men's soccer league. Matt was a longtime youth coach for the North Carroll Soccer Club, where he also served as president of North Carroll Soccer Club for several years. He was very recently coaching a team in the U-12 girls division. Matt was also formerly on the coaching staff for Manchester Valley High Schools Men's soccer team. His contributions to the North Carroll community will be greatly missed as he positively inspired so many of the local youth soccer players to believe in themselves and their abilities. Matt was a great person and friend to so many in the community.

Matt worked for the Microsoft Corporation with his expertise in K-12 Information Technology services. He always acknowledged his professional blessings, personal growth, and perseverance to be in such an impactful position to deliver for his team at work and his family at home. Since he was the oldest of four children he became a leader early on. He always did his best to show compassion and understanding to those around him. His last gift was the gift of being an organ donor.

Our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Union Memorial hospital in Baltimore. Your example of compassion and care will have a lasting impression on the family.
