Matthew "Matt" William Rufe, 23, passed suddenly on March 31, 2018 at his home. Born on April 14, 1994 in Manchester, MD, he was the son of John Paul and Cynthia Davis Rufe of Manchester, MD.
Matthew was a member of St. Bartholomew Roman Catholic Church in Manchester, MD. He enjoyed writing poetry, cooking, and drawing art work.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister Alexandra Claire Rufe of Manchester, MD.
The family will receive friends at ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD 21102 on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9. A Requiem Mass will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, MD. at 10:00am. Interment will follow in St. Bartholomew Church Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
