Melvin Charles Kindred, 71, of Owings Mills died Monday, April 14, 2008, at his home.
Born Sept. 26, 1936, in White Haven, Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas and Veronica Ziminsky Kindred. He was the husband of Linda L. Reall Kindred, his wife of 41 years.
He was a member of Northwest Baptist Church. He was very active in church activities as a volunteer, participated in various ministries and was a church deacon.
He was a retired truck driver with Penske Logistics. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Susan Kindred of Baltimore, Kenny Kindred of Catonsville, Brenda Mohney of Red Lion, Pa., and Kelly Kindred of Manchester; seven grandchildren; siblings Thomas Kindred, Alice Patton, Bernice Druffner and Sharlene Boguski.
He was predeceased by a twin brother, Marvin; brothers Robert and Ronnie; and a sister, Marie Vankevick.
A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at Northwest Baptist Church, 300 Westminster Road, Reisterstown.
Interment will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Finksburg.
A memorial gathering will be held Monday from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church.
