Meredith (Bud) Dorsey Cook age 84 of Hampstead, MD. died Wednesday Oct. 15,2008 at the Baltimore V.A. Medical Center in Baltimore, MD.
Born Jan. 25,1924 in Frederick, MD. he was the son of the late Dorsey Glanville and Carrie Elizabeth Kramer Cook. He was the husband of Mabel Elizabeth Bussard Cook his wife of 61 years.
He was retired from American Standard. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters and son in laws: Katherine Hungerforf and Eddie of Keedysville, MD., Diane Dziemburski and Jack of Dundalk, MD., Joyce McCarty and Dennis of Dundalk, MD.,Sons and daughter in laws: Larry Cook and Linda of Ocean City, MD., David Cook and Pam of Monrovia, MD., and Thomas Cook of Hampstead, MD. Sisters: Marie Bates and husband Eddie and Betty Jane Nichols and husband Johnny. Brothers: Millard Cook and wife Ann and Melvin Cook and wife Shirley. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by siblings: Frances Cook, Ruth Burns, Mabel Shankle, Ruby Tomczewski and Richard Cook.
Funeral services will be held at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel P.A. 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD. on Monday Oct. 20,2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9pm. at the funeral chapel.
