Merle Helen Pfeiffer age, 87 of Manchester, MD passed peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday July 21, 2016.
Merle was born in Baltimore on March 18, 1929 to John and Evelyn Kloffke. Merle married the love of her life, John in March of 1947. Together they have shared years of love and adventure, traveling the world over and taking on all of life's endeavors hand in hand.
In the early years, she worked as a key punch operator for the Maryland State Health Department and later moved on to be a dedicated mother and homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, sewing, travel and spending every moment she could among family and friends.
She is survived by her lovingly devoted husband, John, children Dave, Judy and her husband Paul. Grandchildren, Megan, Katie, Melissa, Michael and John and great granddaughter Layla.
The family will receive friends at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester, MD on Monday July 25, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9pm. where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 9:30am. Interment will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery, Manchester, MD.
