Michael Mac Ford, 68, of Manchester died Saturday January 16, 2010 at his residence.

Born on March 11, 1941 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Joseph S. Ford and Lillian Gatch Ford.

He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was very active with the North Carroll High School Sports program.

He enjoyed golf, especially at the Bon Air Country Club, and spending time with his children. He loved flowers and landscaping his home of 35 years in Manchester.

Surviving are his former wives Charlene Jones and Rita Ford both of Westminster; his sons Scott D. Ford of Hampstead and Joseph S. Ford of Annapolis; his daughter and son in law Bobbi Sue and Rich Franchella of New Canaan, CT; his grandchildren Riley Ford, Emily Basham, A.J., Justin, and Nicholas Franchella; his brothers Joseph S. Ford of Maplewood, NJ and David M. Ford of Newport Beach, CA.

He was predeceased by his sister Sue Ellen Sams.

The family will receive friends 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, P.A., 3296 Charmil Drive, Manchester with a celebration of Mike's Life to be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Spargos Restaurant, 3165 Main Street, Manchester in the Manchester Room.

Interment will be private.
