Mildred Lucille Schrank

Mildred Lucille Schrank, 95 of Lancaster, PA. passed peacefully, Monday Feb. 13,2017 at The Glen at Willow Valley in Lancaster, PA. Born Sept. 2, 1921 in Fort Lee, NJ. she was the daughter of the late Alfred B. and Helen Kersting Higdon. She was the wife of Helmut Ernst Schrank.

She was a retired secretary and administrative assistant at several corporations during her career.

Surviving in addition to her husband, are siblings; Shirley Volkema of Tenn., Carol Stenlake and husband Bob of Connecticut, many nieces and nephews, Hal's children; Arthur Schrank and wife Bonnie of Freeland, MD., Janet Gress and husband Michael of Fort Collins, CO. and Linda Olson and husband Peter of Spofford, NH. and their children and grandchildren.

She was predeceased by siblings; Robert and Raymond Higdon.

The family will receive friends on Thursday Feb. 16, 2017 from 1-5pm. at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL P.A., 3296 Charmil Dr., Manchester, MD 21102. A memorial service will be held on Saturday Feb. 25, 2017 at the Hereford Baptist Church, 9 Mt. Carmel Rd., Parkton, MD 21120 at 11:00 am.

Private interment will be in Branchville Cemetery, Newton, NJ.

An additional memorial service will be held at the Willow Valley Community in Lancaster, PA. at a later date.
